Where to start.... January 2020 I decided to take a 360° change and focus on my self for myself.
At that time I've been following Cherise for a few months and boy was I inspired by this lady and most of all her way of doing things (like who doesn't want a burger in their mealplan... ) . I decided to contact her to find out more about Reforma Elite.

I followed Owen on Instagram for about a year before I reached out for a diet plan initially. I was drawn in by his science based approach to nutrition and was constantly learning from his posts. So I took the plunge towards the end of 2018 initially with a nutrition plan and then training about a month or so later.
Owen got me into the best shape of my life at age 43 (now aged 44 going on 45 and still walking this journey with him) . He has travelled many seasons with me from photo shoot prep (my first ever) to breaking my arm and cracking open my face, he guided me through the rehab both from a nutrition and training perspective. With Owen you truly get a mentor and partner in your fitness journey. This is definitely a journey… as Owen says ‘Seasons to be lean, and seasons to be not so lean’. His focus is on your health and wellness always.
No discussion on Owen would be complete without mentioning his business partner and partner in crime, Cherise Potgieter. When you work with Owen, you end up working with Cherise too. They come as a powerhouse team so you often get feedback from both parties – total Dream Team.
In Owen and Cherise I have not only the best coaches but definitely a beautiful friendship.
I love them and trust me when I say, you are putting your health and wellness into the most caring yet knowledgeable team. Health first!

I joined Reforma Elite in June 2020, in the middle of lockdown after I had gained 7kg's. My mental well being wasn't in tact as it should've been. It was quite a Rollercoaster.

When I started with Cherise, I was on a 900 calorie diet and my emotions were all over the place. I have PCOS and with Cherise understanding the condition, she immediately upped my calories to a healthy and sustainable amount.

The journey to a better me (mentally and physically) had started. At first I jotted down how I want things done, with check-ins every week.
She left me to do my thing. She did not command, but instead guided.

And as she guided me with her support, and explaining the Why's and Why not's of doing certain things, and as I progressed in understanding how my body and food work. I learnt how to track my calories so that I can enjoy life within boundaries, and how to make up if I surpassed by daily calorie intake. I changed my check-ins to 2-weekly photo's and once a month measurements - this was all me. She never forced down how she wanted things done.

It plays a big part in your mental well-being without even knowing it. The whole check-in, measurement thing because our bodies change daily due to hormones etc, and can break us down if we don't understand how everything works and fits together.

Cherise became my friend and not only my coach. It's not always business/coaching talks. I can ask her about *anything* and she will be there for me.

It's always so funny to hear Owen speak in the background of her voice notes. They are a real team and for them its not about hunting social media advertising - having you in comp ready form all year around to display you like a show pony so that they can get more clients. Its all about you and only you.

You are their biggest concern. Your progress, your mental health, your needs and your education.

Changing coaches to Reforma Elite was by far the best decision I could've made for myself.

We are on a good and sustainable amount of calories and I am shaping up and losing weight with my emotions and hormones in tact.

I decided to take a chance when Owen offered a months plan on Instagram to the first 10 people who had replied - it was the best message I had ever sent because 3 years later I can hands down still say that they are the best coaches I've ever known.

I found Owen Dunderdale through social media after being inspired by his work. I can't say I was ready to begin my fitness journey, as I have been through countless trainers and countless diets, so to me, Owen was just going to be another new person telling me what to eat and what to train, well, so I thought.

I have never battled with training but eating was my biggest problem, as I love food. Owen heard me out and didn't give me a diet! Owen designed an eating plan that consisted of 6 to 10 different options per meal, I'm talking about breakfast/snack/lunch/snack/dinner/snack. Still to this day I haven't gotten bored of my eating plan due to the fact that it's s not a diet where you starve yourself, it's not where you have to eat on the minute and stuff your face with chicken breasts, broccoli and rice every meal.

It was an eating plan made for me. It includes foods that I love and crave.

The training was designed in line with my level and fitness and experience in the gym. Owen did not just give me a training program and say here, "follow this". Owen uses an app where I can see what to train every day, how many reps, sets are needed. I am able to see my progress in strength as well as results. There are videos for every exercise to ensure good form and technique. Even more advanced clients that have got experience in a gym like myself, I didn't know a few exercises, but the videos sorted me out immediately.

Owen is a professional dietician, who takes his profession extremely seriously. Owen ensures weekly check ups, and is available on a daily basis if needed. Owen is not just my trainer anymore, but has become a friend that I can rely on and ensure no matter what goals I want, I can achieve them with his guidance and knowledge. I have never gotten results like I have with Owen. He also makes things extremely realistic and doesn't make you believe things that are impossible to achieve.

Working with Owen has been the best decision I’ve ever made for myself. He is encouraging, motivating, and ensures proper form and technique to ensure that you are safe and effectively achieving your fitness goals. Owen is right by your side, guiding you along the way. It’s been a great experience and by far the best money I’ve ever spent, but then again is there a price to put on your own personal health and well-being.

I can’t thank Owen enough for working with me at my level and giving me motivation to keep trying and pushing harder. He works around your preferences for example if you like working out at home or at a gym or even if you going away on holiday.

All I can say is I highly recommend Owen, he is professional, clued up and will guarantee you results.

I made the decision to join Reforma Elite after coming accross Cherise on Instagram.
Cherise was quick to make me feel comfortable and I immediately knew that I had made the right choice in signing up.
As a coach, Cherise knows when to give encouragement and when to dish out a little tough love (and burpees lol) and it is this balance that makes her great at what she does. I have been with Coach Cherise for almost 3 years now, and I would definitely say it's been the healthiest and most active 3 years of my life. I have never really liked working out. I was always too tired and too lazy by the end of the day to get to the gym, let alone actually work out. Eating healthy did not come naturally to me. Coach Cherise helped me ease my way into working out and following a balanced diet. She went at a pace that I was comfortable with, and before I even knew it, I was looking and feeling so much better. She pushed me slowly to do more and more and to push myself to new limits. It was so much more enjoyable than I had ever imagined. I now get excited to work out and try new meals. Training with her, has been such a gratifying and self discovering experience. I have been working with Owen since July 2019. Choosing Owen as a coach is probably one of the best decisions I’ve made in my adult life. He is extremely knowledgeable and an expert in his field. The meal plans he provides are tailored to your needs and tastes with up to 5 (or more) options for each snack and meal. This approach in my opinion makes dieting healthy, fun and easy. Owen’s training programs are fun but challenging (just the way I like it) which allows you to push your limits and get the best results from your training.
On a personal level Owen is an amazing human and patiently puts up with my pedantic self when my show dates creep closer.

By sticking to the plans Owen provided I was able to get into the best shape I’ve ever been, I won 3rd place in my first ever bodybuilding show and received an invite to compete at the Arnold’s. Owen and Cherise… We’re not done yet ;-)

Reading about Cherise's journey spoke to me on so many different levels inspiring me to take the leap and join her in April this year. Cherise has been my saving grace not only physically but more importantly mentally too.
